The excavation investigation of the mural tombs of Liao dynasty in Xuanhua area of Hebei province began from 1974, and 14 tombs were found by 1998. This thesis takes the first excavation area of the mural tombs at Liao Dynasty in Xuanhua, that is, the Han nationality mural tombs at Liao Dynasty, as the research object, and focuses on the tombs of the Zhang Kuangzheng’s to carry out investigation and analysis. Zhang Kuangzheng is the ancestor of the Zhang family, and is greatly respected in the family. It is known from his epitaph that Zhang Kuangzheng was buried in the 4th year of Qingning （1058）, and in 9th year of Da’an （1093） he was re-buried in present position. Through analyzing the murals of Zhang Kuangzheng’s tomb and comparing with other four murals of Zhang family which were also buried in 9th year if Da’an, this thesis preliminarily analyzes the religious beliefs and the daily life of the local Families of Han nationality in the late Liao Dynasty, as well as the ceramics and metal daily necessities.
