Compétences prioritaires dans les débuts de l’apprentissage d’une langue étrangère

Description
Since the Communicative Approaches, the possibility for the learners of being able to communicate in a foreign language is largely seen as the main objective of the learning. This article recalls that in order to achieve such an objective, basic and essential skills are needed in the first place: oral and written skills, pronunciation, mastering the structure of the language, for example. Therefore, teachers should give those skills priority in order for the learners, especially beginners, to learn them before aiming toward a communicative skill.
