A desire of energy saving consciousness is growing from the problem which is global warming in recent years. To save the energy consumption when also using in construction industry, passive technology is being needed. The desire to which natural ventilation is introduced in particular has been growing. But the high density of the dwelling unit which is the urban area circumferences in Japan has been serious. The wind of the straight direction along a building side blows between the neighbour ridge at a crouded city, and it's difficult to introduce a wind to an interior directly from a wall opening part. Therefore the technique using the wind catcher is considered. The difference in the wind pressure which acts on an opening will cause ventilation driving force. But when using a wind catcher, it'll be the dynamic structure which holds an air current of wall straight direction back and changes dynamic pressure to the wind pressure. Therefore, I think the wind pressure on wall and dynamic pressure of blowing along the wall can be ventilation driving force about a wind catcher. However, evaluation method of the ventilation driving force potential when using a wind catcher, has not been built yet. Therefore, in this study, the wind speed near the wall surface necessary for calculating Pt was obtained by wind tunnel experiment. Furthermore, a model with WC attached to a simple-shaped building could be created, and changes due to differences in WC size and installation methods could be a new indicator using wind pressure coefficient distribution and WC effect using Pt and wind pressure. A study was made using a certain conversion coefficient, and the construction of a prediction method for the effect of increasing the ventilation rate by installing WC was studied. In addition, in the future. CFD analysis of various WC installation cases. I think it is necessary to create a database. Therefore, the validity of the CFD analysis results when the WC was installed was also examined.
