Description

The welded and high-temperature- oxidized sandy sediments with many fragments of a collapsed and burnt house and bones are found near the hypocenter of the Nagasaki atomic bombing. The strong destruction and the rapid melt of roof tiles, glass and metal indicate that the blast with shock wave and thermic ray of more than 1,800°C attacked the ground and the houses including some persons. The sediments are probably effected proximally by the atomic bombing at 11:02 a. m., August 9, 1945.
