The purpose of this paper is to consider childcare support as part of the professional duties of nursery school teachers by examining childcare support activities in the Wakuwaku Land program of the nursery teacher training school. To achieve this purpose, the researchers undertook historical research on the policy, made a philosophical analysis of childcare support as part of the professional responsibilities of nursery school teachers, and conducted a questionnaire survey on students intending to be nursery teachers. As a result of this review, the following was evident. First, childcare support as part of the professional duty of nursery school teachers has become more important with the declining birthrate. Secondly, from the questionnaire survey results, it was shown that the activity content needs some scrutiny.
