Abstract

Henri Labrouste stayed in Italy for five years from 1825 as a scholarship student at the French Academy in Rome. In this article, I analyzed the Italian cities he visited and clarified the characteristic of his research from there. Next, taking the Basilica of San Francesco in Assisi as an example of his drawing in the Italian days, I analyzed the details and revealed a part of his perspective on Italian architecture.
