本稿の目的は,児童養護施設の学習ボランティアのインタビュー記録を手がかりとしながら,学習や人間関係に困難さを抱えている子どもたちの成長にとっての,学習ボランティアの意義と役割について考察することである。第一節では,インタビュー記録に即して,学習ボランティアと子どもたちとの関わりの推移を概観する。第二節では,ヴァルデンフェルスの対話論を手がかりとして,学習に対する子どもたちの姿勢や意欲が,どのようにして変化したのかを考察する。この考察から,学習ボランティアと子どもたちが,対話的な共同性を一緒に生きていること,そして,こうした共同作用のなかで,子どもたちが,ボランティアの働きかけを能動的に引き受け,自分の振る舞いとして実現していることが明らかとなる。本稿は,ただ勉強を教えることを超えた,学習ボランティアの意義や役割について,新たな視座を示すことになった。

This study focuses on the meaning and the role of the learning support volunteer for children with special educational needs, based on an interview of a volunteer in a children's home. The first section describes how the relationships between two children and the volunteer developed, through interview documents. In the second section, the transformation of children's attitude and motivation toward the learning, and the condition underlying these changes, are analyzed with the help of Waldenfels's dialogue theory. It is elucidated that (1) children and the volunteer work-together (Zusammenwirken) in a dialogical community and that (2) children themselves undertake and thus realize the volunteer's approach actively in such working together. This implicates a new aspect on the significance of the learning support volunteer beyond teaching certain knowledge and skills, exam study, or mental support.
