In this paper, we analyze the issue of domain consensus in corporate strategy. The overlapped part between companies and their environment is called domain consensus, and the percentage is called rate of domain consensus. We first identify the crucial factors of domain consens us using "Chasen", one of the data mining software. And then we measured the rate of domain consensus of the three auto mobil makers: Toyota, Mazda and Nissan. We found that there are strong correlations between the rate of domain consensus and their corporate performances. This paper provides a new empirical perspective to the study of corporate strategy.
