- Distribution and Characteristic of Historic buildings in Suburban residential section from Meiji Era : A case of Nishiohata district in Niigata city

Abstract
Nishiohata district was materialized suburban residential section from Meiji Era. Although it will be function as an important base of Niigata City, the actual condition about whole historic buildings are not understood. The purpose of this paper is to clarify distribution and characteristic of historic buildings. From this survey, 265 historic buildings are drawn and the percentage of historic buildings is 12% in Nishiohata district. And residence with a European-style building and a semi-detached house equipped with the feature of modern ages are seen.
