Abstract

Since 1997, internship has been rapidly promoted, and in 2014, the percentage of universities offering internships exceeded 70 % of all universities in Japan. In recent years, there has been a need to systematically promote the internship with higher educational effectiveness. On the other hand, issues regarding the establishment of standard model for internship under various forms and purposes, and the lack of research on the educational effects of internship are indicated. This study aims to clarify the requirements for an educationally effective internship by assuming the determinants and quantitatively analyzing their relationship with educational effectiveness. As a result, it turned out that successful experience and reflection/feedback had a positive effect on the cultivation of a work values, and that setting of purposes/goals, collaboration experience, successful experience, and deepening of self-understanding had a positive effect on the cultivation of fundamental competencies for working persons.
