Description
The authors conducted a questionnaire survey among middle school students regarding the causes and triggers of flood and earthquake in Fuchu Town, Hiroshima Prefecture and Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. We discovered that the students in Fuchu Town have a better understanding of the flood, whereas the students in Kobe City have a deeper idea of earthquake. Students’ responses to these natural disasters imply that disaster prevention classes were conducted in elementary schools.
