The purpose of this study is to clarify the actual situation of sports tourism in Kagoshima Prefecture.In particular, this study focused on soccer events. The target of the study was the “JFA All Japan U-12 Soccer Championship” and “Sports Training Camp in Tarumi City”. From the two survey cases, it became clear that Kagoshima Prefecture has an optimal environment for hosting sporting events, and that the regions in Kagoshima Prefecture are making distinctive efforts to attract sporting events.
