This paper reports on an Early Child Care Education: Basic SeminarⅠ open class held in 2017. The Department of Early Childhood Education at Takamatsu Junior College originally developed this series of lectures. Each faculty members was responsible for an individual seminar. The Basic Seminar I, held in the first term, focused mainly on each staff member’s field of specialization. “The importance of the textbooks” and “the need to read the intention of the composers from scores,” about the songs of the children were discussed in this seminar
