Abstract

application/pdf

According to Shigeo Okamura, the helping principle of social welfare consists of 4 elements : (1) sociality, (2) wholeness, (3) subjectivity and (4) reality. The individual aspect of helping is an important aspect of social welfare help. This is because the person concerned requires suitable and meaningful help. Why isn't this individuality enumerated in Okamura's principles of helping? The reason is that individuality was assumed to be within the grasp of ordinary citizens and thus fell outside Okamura's view.
