【Purpose】This study aimed to investigate which class styles in online-based teaching lectures were favorable for students based on a questionnaire survey. 【Methods】The participants included 259 students who took the class in sports medicine and/or science. By means of a self-administered questionnaire in which a 5-point Likert scale was employed, (1:strongly dislike, 5: strongly like), the participants were questioned regarding the style of classes of an online-based teaching lecture. 【Results】The present results showed that the percentage of participants who chose“ like” or“ strongly like” was 81.2% for the video-type classes style, 57.3% for the radio-type class style, and 24.1% for the handout-type classes style, respectively. In addition, 29.3% of participants answered that the realtime-type style classes would make online-based teaching lectures easier to understand. 【Conclusion】Current results suggest that video-type or radio-type online-based teaching lectures are favorable for students. In addition, utilizing the real-time-type style classes is not necessarily optimal.
