本学は 2014 年度より米国ボーイング社のエクスターンシッププログラムに参加し ており、学生の英語読解力とプレゼン能力の向上を図るため春期休業期間に航空シス テム工学科と英語教育課程の共同による７回の集中講座を実施した。学生は航空業界 に関する英語の読み物で語彙を学び、プレゼン技術の講義を受けて毎回１分間のス ピーチを作成し教員のフィードバックを受けた。ハイフレックス形式の講義は Zoom 会議システムと 360 度カメラを併用し、課外では Microsoft Teams を活用すること で、どこからでもキャンパスにいるように授業が受けることが可能だ。今回の授業方 式に対する学生への聞き取り調査をもとに、エクスターンシップのさらなる効果的な 取り組み方とカリキュラムへの応用方法を模索する。;KIT has been participating in an externship program organized by Boeing Company since 2014. This year, a joint English lecture course was organized by the Department of Aeronautics and the English Language Program for junior and senior-year students who are participating in the externship (n=10). The seven weekly lectures were conducted in HyFlex manner, aiming to teach aeronautics-related vocabulary using Boeing Market Outlook and to lecture presentation techniques. The HyFlex course provided the participants with more flexible learning style where they can choose either in-person or online participation even during the long vacation period. By utilizing the web- based meeting system Zoom, a speaker system, a 360 degree camera, and an online platform Microsoft Teams, participants were able to practice English conversation and one-minute speech every week from anywhere. This paper will detail the course activities and also reports the reflections obtained by nine participants regarding the HyFlex style learning. The results are to be adopted to actual course curriculum to nourish both skills and knowledge in major fields, presentations, and English.
