This paper summarizes the current status and issues of prenatal diagnosis, and considers education on prenatal diagnosis for college students. Since the start of NIPT( Non-Invasive Prenatal genetic Testing) in 2013, prenatal diagnosis is a non-invasive and relatively simple test, and the number of pregnant women undergoing prenatal diagnosis is rapidly increasing. It cannot be said that all cases, including follow-up after childbirth, have progressed without problems. The issues of prenatal diagnosis can be divided into two. The first is whether the prenatal diagnosis itself is properly performed, including ethical considerations, and the second is the perspective of the person undergoing the prenatal diagnosis. The former, it has become clear that prenatal diagnosis may not always be performed properly depending on the lawsuit. The latter can be divided into three categories. The first is whether non-professional pregnant women and their families have accurate information about prenatal diagnosis, and where to get accurate information. The second issue is how to decide whether or not to undergo prenatal diagnosis after obtaining accurate information on prenatal diagnosis. The third is the issue of dealing with the mental burden before and after taking the prenatal diagnosis. Education on prenatal diagnosis was divided into areas such as health and medical care and other areas. The former is of course necessary for students in medical faculties who will be involved in the implementation of prenatal diagnosis in the future, but it is also necessary for students in other faculties, especially for students in education and psychology faculties. considered necessary.
