説明
Noam Chomsky insists that we are born with Universal Grammar and acquire a language after its parameters are set, depending on the language spoken around us. When he explains his theory of language, he always says that children understand meanings of sentences without considering extralinguistic factors. If children comprehend meanings of sentences only with words, his insistence will be plausible. But if children understand meanings of sentences using extra-linguistic factors, his claim will be dubious. In this paper, we shall examine and consider whether children interpret sentences without taking into account any other factors than words.
