これまでの2回にわたる前稿では, プレスナーの哲学的人間学のよって立つ哲学的諸前提とその出発点となった哲学的・生物学的論争について考察した。本稿からはいよいよ, その哲学的人間学の中心思想である位置性の理論の核心的な部分を取り上げる。まず本稿では, 有機的生命一般の本質的諸性質と, これを踏まえた植物的生命の本質的諸特徴とにかんするプレスナーの理論を解明し, 論評する。初めに, 生命体とそれの環境領野である媒体とのあいだに想定される境界, そしてこれにもとづいて生ずる位置性の概念のプレスナー的意味を再確認したうえで, 生命体一般がそなえる動態的および静態的性格, そして生きたものの自己調節可能性と調和等能性などにかんするプレスナーの理論を解釈する。そして, 開放的な有機組織形式をもつと特徴づけられる植物の位置性が生命循環のなかでどのように機能し, またそれが動物の位置性または位置形式とどのように区別されるのかを解明し, あわせてプレスナーのこうした接近の視点の積極的面と限界とを考察する。

In the previous two articles, I discussed the philosophical premises underpinning Plessner's philosophical anthropology and the philosophical and biological discussions from which his philosophy arises. From here onward, I examine the central ideas of the theory of the positionality, which is at the core of philosophical anthropology. 　This paper comments on and clarifies Plessner's theory on the essential characteristics of organic life in general, and the essential characteristics of plant life. First, I return to his understanding of the concept of the positionality, which is established based on the assumed boundary between the life form and the medium that serves as that life form's environmental range. Next, I interpret Plessner's theory on the dynamic and static attributes generally possessed by the life form, and on the possibility of self-adjustment and equipotentiality of living things. Finally, I clarify the positionality, in the ecosystem, of plant life that is characterized as an open organic form and the positionality of plant life as distinguished from that of animal life. At the same time, positive aspects and limitations inherent in Plessner's approach are discussed.
