As shown by number "II" in the above headline, this project study is in its second phase, an outline of which was introduced in my previous thesis, published in March 2010 through the ST. ANDREW'S UNIVERSITY BULLETIN OF RESEARCH INSTITUTE Vol. 35, No. 3, the title of the thesis being "Study for Development of a Team-Assessment Support Tool Targeting High-Risk Social Work Client Systems (I)-Findings through case studies of the tool under development." The previous thesis (phase I) detailed how this project got started and for what purpose, providing information on the "Eco-scanner," a multipurpose support tool-an idea of which has grown into this project-and summarized the efforts necessary for future research activities. This paper (phase II) explains our creation of a prototype of the tool under the project, and evaluates the prototype on the basis of results of the following two surveys : (1) interviews with social workers who serve or have served, with difficulty, mentally handicapped patients at high risk of developing further complications, and (2) hands-on testing of the prototype by multiple social workers, to verify its effectiveness.
