In this paper, we present a lesson that utilizes drama methods to improve communication skills in Korean. We summarize and discuss its pedagogical benefits and learners' thoughts about this approach. Based on the issues raised by Kim (2018), four feedback sessions by the teacher and selfassessment by the learners themselves were conducted. Presentations of skits were given in the next class to allow for sufficient practice, and by introducing unlearned expressions before the presentation and including confirmation questions after the presentation, we tried to ensure active participation by the presenter and those listening to the presentation. The retention of grammar items in the learner scripts and the final written test confirmed that the drama methods helped the learners to retain what they had learned and improved their communicative ability in Korean. The learner questionnaires showed a high level of satisfaction with the utilization and feedback methods, and above all, the learners themselves seemed to realize the educational benefits of the activities. However, issues that need to be addressed are to make the activities easier, such as by creating more rapport between learners, and to reduce learners' anxiety about the activities.
