Abstract

Atmospheric pressure is pressure exerted due to the weight of the atmosphere (air). On Earth, atmospheric pressure is 5.3 × 10[18] kg. However, we do not feel atmospheric pressure in our usual environment; in fact, we live with a weight of 10 tons per 1m[2]. This paper presents several experimental methods for understanding atmospheric pressure using simple daily-life objects. Additionally, we administered a questionnaire in our experimental science classes and found a difference in the level of basic knowledge among the participants, with the majority understanding the experiments.
