Abstract

Small-scale multifunctional in-home nursing care (Kan-Taki) is an excellent complex service that enables in-home nursing care even for patients who are highly dependent on medical care. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to clarify issues for the diffusion of Kan-Taki through the literature. By clarifying the issues, we believe that we can obtain suggestions for the diffusion of Kan-Taki and contribute to the improvement of the quality of home nursing care. Using the Web version of the Central Journal of Medicine and PubMed, we analysed 16 articles that fit the theme of this study, using "small-scale multifunctional in-home nursing care" as the keyword. Issues for the diffusion of multifunctional nursing care equipment could be classified into nine categories: "awareness (understanding, awareness)," "systems," "operational and financial aspects," "securing human resources," "multidisciplinary cooperation (including family members)," "education," "burden on nursing professionals," "burden on caregivers," and "burden on care managers. It is considered urgent to improve the low level of recognition in the dissemination of nursing multifunction devices.
