Abstract

The Building Standards Act stipulates matters related to safety, and safety improvements have been achieved through repeated legal revisions. However, the safety of people during earthquakes is not taken into consideration in the design of buildings. Disaster Mitigation and Reconstruction Studies From an objective perspective, the safety of people in the event of an earthquake must be considered. Based on the above, there is no method to evaluate the safety of people on each floor in a building during an earthquake. Peace of mind is indirectly evaluated using anxiety level. The purpose of this research is to report on efforts toward evaluating the safety of people inside buildings during earthquakes. This time, we demonstrated the flow from creating a building model to evaluating the degree of anxiety and conducted the evaluation of the degree of anxiety. The results showed that the higher the floor, the higher the level of anxiety.
