AIの学びに対する興味を喚起するための副教材を用いた授業実践

本稿では，筆者の先行研究を拡張した活動について述べる．AIに対する理解，およびプログラミングスキルを含む一定水準の情報技術修得は，多くの大学生にとって重要である．しかし，少なくない学生が大学におけるプログラミング学修に消極的である．筆者は，学生が体感を通してプログラムを構成する計算式とAIの動作の関係を認識することが，学修に対する興味の喚起に繋がると考えた．本稿では，計算式と情報処理の関係に注目した副教材の開発と教育実践について述べる．授業実践は，様々な学問的志向を持つ学生が集まるリベラルアーツ教育環境で実施した．学生189名による5件法でのアンケートの回答，および85名によるコメントを分析した結果，学生が計算式に対する学びに一定の負荷を感じながらも，教育実践を通してAI学修への興味が高まったことが示唆された．

We present the extended activities of our previous research. Understanding AI and learning practical level technologies of information processing, including computer programming skills, are important for university students. However, many of the students are less interested in the learning. We have considered that if the students recognize the relationships between the processes of the AI and formulas in computer programs correctly, they have strong interest in learning AI and the technologies. We have proposed supplementary learning materials and learning methods that explain some of the relationships in image processing. Students learning in our liberal arts environment participated in the educational practice using the materials and the methods. After the practice, we have received 189 students' answers for five-point scale questionnaire, and 85 students' free-writing style comments to be used for this research. To understand the formulas seemed to have been difficult for some of the students. However, the results of the analysis for the answers and the comments suggested the possibility that many of the students deepened their interest in learning about AI through the educational practice.
