Description

The Law for the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities, amended in 2021, made the provision of reasonable accommodations legally mandatory from April 1, 2024. This paper reports on the current situation and issues faced by the Support Center for Special Needs Students, established ten years ago, and examines approaches to reasonable accommodations for students with mental disabilities. Additionally, this paper discusses current practices for providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with mental disabilities in post-graduation employment and considers the connections between these accommodations and those provided during their university studies.
