Description
The adult literacy rate in Tanzania is 73.2 per cent, which is relatively high among the Africancountries. But Tanzanian girls get fewer opportunities than boys in terms of education. This reportfocuses on the nature of problems which prevent girls from continuing their education. Then, some recommendations will be made in order to enforce girls’ rights for equal education. Pregnancies and early marriages have been major obstacles for Tanzanian girls to continue their education. More gender-freeeducations are needed in their communities. And also, local school authorities should never allow pregnant girls to be expelled from schools. Goverment should provide safe transportations and financial supports to them.
