Abstract

The child-care in the field has taken the stance to be on the side of children and is still making an effort to develop it further every day. The child-care practice is ready as a trigger that students can get one step in the development. Along with the accumulation of the child-care practice, students begin to understand gradually the significance of being on the side of children or the importance of understanding children. The purpose of this study is, from the viewpoint of "child-care social work counseling", to think about the meanings of understanding of children and of being on the side of children through the child-care practice experienced by students. "Child-care social work counseling" is the notion created from the interface between child-care social work and child-care counseling. Based on this notion, understanding of children will be considered in this study from the viewpoint of child-care students who want child-care job.
