The purpose of this research is in the report and analysis of the outline of results of an investigation about the present condition of the row of town houses. The row of town houses investigation of the Fukui Mikuni old city area was performed from September, 2002 to October. When considering based on the investigation result, it divided a Mikuni old city area into three areas of Takidani, Shitamachi and Uwashinmachi. At this article, it considers the locality about Takidani based on the investigation result. Also, by the comparison with the investigation which was done in 1980, it clarifies the change of the scene to the present. It wants to make use of as the basic data of future row of town houses maintenance.
