大卒者の就職先の多様化といわれるなかで,教員養成課程の卒業生はどのような初期キャリアを形成しているのだろうか。教員養成課程を卒業した28人(女性25人・男性3人)に,大学卒業2年目と5年目に面接調査(質問紙を含む)を実施した。その結果,第1に,教員養成課程卒業生は,教員を中心とした広い意味で教育にかかわる仕事に収斂していくことが示された。第2に,彼らのキャリア適合感(そのキャリアに合っていると思うか)は,「やっていて楽しい」「自分の成長が感じられるから」「希望職種だから」というような主観的なフィット感や自己成長感,目標達成感が中心だった。第3に,キャリア適合感は大卒5年目が2年目よりも低いが,その主な理由は,教員では自分の適正を客観的に見るためであり,講師や心理職では位置づけに不満を持つためであると考えられた。第4に,支援の内容として,職種やキャリア段階に応じたサポートやライフコースに関する長期的な見通しの形成が必要だとされた。

In order to clarify how graduates from university for teacher training may form their early careers in 5 years although, generally speaking, university graduates may show a variety of careers, twenty eight female and three male samples were administered by a questionnaire and an interview in the second and fifth year after graduation from university. Findings showed that, first, graduates increased in commitment to educational jobs, mainly teachers, along with age; second, they felt career suitability when they enjoyed themselves in doing jobs, realized their desired careers and felt their self-development; third, teachers regularly employed reported to decrease in their career suitability at fifth year in spite of rather high job satisfaction since they looked at their aptitude from their outside and others including psychologists and part time teachers also did since they complained their statuses; and fourth, it is suggested to be important to support them by extending the expectation of their life course before university graduation and to give the support available to their career stages in order to promote their suitability to career.
