Description
We investigate the structure of [11]B within the framework of the α + α + t orthogonality condition model(OCM)based on the Gaussian expansion method. This model can reproduce the structures of all 3/2[-] stateas and all 1/2[+] states up to around the α + α + t threshold. It is founded that the 12.56-MeV state with J[π] =1/22 +around the α + α + t breakup threshold has a three-cluster-gas-like structure composed of the two a and one t clusters, and its wave function is mainly described by the product state of the constituent clusters,(0Sa)[2](0St), in which the three clusters occupy the lowest orbit, 0S, in the nucleus.
