貴州省黔東南苗族侗族自治州は、中国全土の中でも少数民族の人口が最も多い自治州の一つであり、住民の暮らしは決して裕福な状況に置かれていない。そこで中国政府は、少数民族の住民生活を向上させるため、少数民族観光による地域経済の発展を目指して観光戦略を構築し、１９８４年から少数民族観光の振興に着手した。自治州政府側が民族観光による町興しを行いながら、外貨を獲得するためにインバウンド観光にも力を入れたのである。本論文では、少数民族地域で展開されている観光振興におけるインバウンド観光の実態を考察した。 The autonomous state for ethnic minorities called “miao” and “dong” in Guizhou Province is one of the autonomous states where these minority groups are most populous. The economic standard of these minorities is not high enough according to the Chinese criterion. The Chinese government mapped out a plan of the economic development through tourism in this ethnic area and has made efforts to increase sightseeing tours in the area since １９８４． At the same time the local government set up various projects to economically develop the area through cightseeing and promoted inbound tourism to obtain foreign currency. In this paper the author examined the actual situation of this tourism in the area.
