抄録

無線LANの信号を用いた位置推定では，アクセスポイントの位置データベースもしくはその信号の地図を必要とする．本論文では，アクセスポイントの地図を端末自身で構築する手法を提案する．提案手法では，構築済みの地図からの逸脱を無線LANの信号を用いて検出し，その間に移動したと推定される経路と検出したアクセスポイントの情報を地図に追加する．構築した地図を用いることで，過去に訪れた任意の場所までの到達時間や，その場所に至る経路に存在する交差点などを認識可能であることを評価実験により確認した．

WiFi localization techniques require a radio map to estimate the position of a mobile terminal from WiFi signals. This paper proposes an algorithm for on-the-fly mapping while the map is used to localize the terminal. Our implementation observes WiFi signals to make decisions about whether the terminal is revisiting a previously mapped area or is moving in a new region, and incrementally constructs the map using sequences of the WiFi signals while moving along new paths. The map built with our algorithm allows an application to estimate travel times to places that the terminal has visited previously. The experimental results show that the map also provides useful information about the topology of environments such as road networks.
