本研究は，同一時間帯の2つの遠隔会議を視聴，かつ，そのうち1つの会議へのインタラクションを可能にすることを目的とする．そこで本提案手法では，短縮再生と映像切換えを用いた二重映像視聴手法を導入した．まずデジタルビデオカメラからリアルタイムに2つの会議映像を取り込み，それを一時的に蓄積する．そして，映像の短縮再生により再生時間の短縮を行い，かつ，それら2つの映像を自動で交互切換えをして視聴することで，1つの映像時間分で2つの映像コンテンツの視聴を実現する．このとき，インタラクションを可能にするために，遅延した映像からリアルタイム映像にスムーズに切り換える必要がある．そこで重複映像を用いたリアルタイム切換え手法を導入した．この手法により，ユーザが任意にボタンを押すことでリアルタイムに切り換えることを可能にし，また，リアルタイム映像に切り換わった後に今まで視聴していた映像の続きを並行して表示することで内容理解の補助を行う．そして我々は提案手法に基づきプロトタイプシステムを実装し，評価実験を行った．その結果，本提案手法により交互映像視聴時，リアルタイム切換え時に高い内容理解度が得られ，かつ，リアルタイム参加時にスムーズなインタラクションが可能であることを確認した．

This research focuses on combining multiple real-time tasks, such as listening to two remote conferences and actually allows joining one conference possible. In this paper, twofold video watching method with shortened video playing and video switching is introduced. First images of two real-time conferences are once buffered. The playout time is shortened by fast-forward playout and switches the conference images automatically. Therefore two conferences are played at the time needed to playout one conference image. To make joining conference possible, there is a need to switch smoothly from the delayed image to real-time image. Real-time switching methods using duplicated images are therefore added to the above method. Using this method, an user can switch to the real-time conference image. Also in order not to lose any information after switching, the rest of the prior conference is played simultaneously with the real-time conference image. A prototype of the proposed method is implemented and evaluation experiments of the proposed method are carried out. Through evaluations, the comprehension accuracy rate of alternated switching and real-time switching showed a high comprehension level. Also through user evaluation, smooth switching from buffered to real-time was examined.
