抄録

構成論的方法論の概念に基づいてイノベーションの事例を考察する．構成論的方法論は人工物を構成する人間の認知プロセスを理解し，制作の方法論を構築しようとするものである．建築における鉄筋コンクリートの発明と発展という長い時間をかけたイノベーションの契機となる大小の出来事の連鎖を事例として考察し，構成論的方法論の中心的概念である縦の因果関係およびシンセシスとアナリシスの螺旋的繰返しがイノベーションにおいて果たす役割を明らかにする．イノベーションの定義よりもむしろ実践のためのヒントを重視する．

Some aspects of innovation are revealed by investigating some cases of innovation in architectural design and engineering through the constructive methodology. It is found that two major aspects are important to facilitate innovation. One is to find causal relations between the different levels of understanding concerning the subject in question. The other is to develop such causal relations through the repetition of synthesis and analysis of the subject.
