2次元のLaplace方程式4u=0のDirichlet問題に対する代用電荷法においてはIN u(N)(X)=-2 t _: Qj j=1log ll x - y j ll の形の近似式（ここで yjeR2 (j=1 ・・・ N) は電荷点の座標）を用いるのが普通であるが、これは座標のスケーリングや境界条件の原点移動に対して不変でない。そこで，IN u(N)(x)=Q0~2lr _: Qjloglix-yjll j=1 の形の近似式を考え、その係数Qj(j=0 1 ?N) をj=1 _ NQj=O という制約下で定めることを提案する。これにより、物理的に自然で、かつ、数学的にもよい性質をもった近似方式が得られる。
