Abstract
Post Transfusion-Giaft-versus-host-disease (PT-GVHD) is one of the most severe side effects of blood tiansfusion Theie is no effective tieatment foi PT-GVHD, the mortality rate is about 100% Therefoie prevention of PT-GVHD is very important X-ray irradiation (15~50Gy) to blood products is recommended as a standaid method for the prevention of PT-GVHD But a X-ray 11 radiation unit is so expensive and so heavy that small medical institutions can hardly afford one UV inadiation to lymphocytes has also inactivation effect UV irradiation to blood products is expected to solve these pioblems of the X-ray irradiation But the method has some problems such as its low power and low transmittancy We researched the inactivation effect of high power UV nradiation on lymphocytes using Supei-High-Piessure-Mercury-Lamp as a high power souice of UV lay
