説明

According to the curriculum, dance sessions at elementary schools for 3rd and 4th grade aim "to get involved with each other and to experience the improvised dancing". But in real sessions, it is not easy to understand what "involved with each other" in dancing means. Therefore, we traced the movements locus of schoolchildren at improvised and free dancing and sorted them by patterns in order to get a picture of what their movement concretely showed. As a result of a cluster analysis, in which we analyzed the form of traced movements of schoolchildren at improvised dancing in expressive movement sessions at elementary school we could divide the pattern of movements into two groups. In the first group, the acceleration was fixed all through the periods while the acceleration varied in the second group. At the same time, in comparison with those of the first group, the distance transferred was significantly longer (t=3.719,p<.01) and the speed of movement was significantly faster (t=3.776, p<.01) in the second group. To conclude, we found out that traced movements were influenced by how children felt about the music and also by the relationship to the other children they were dancing with. The movements were divided into two patterns, one was dancing in synchronization with the rhythm of the music, other was to dance in accordance with the feeling or atmosphere of the music, which in turn could be divided into two groups; one was dancing in a big space with varying speed, and other was dancing in a narrow space with fixed speed.
