Abstract

The curriculum is revised in Japan every about ten years. A present curriculum was revised in 2002 (2003 the high school), and student's information use ability is promoted by all scenes of the education. New subject "Information Study" will be set up by the high school, and the student acquire the ability to use the computer and the Internet as a tool. On the other hand, informationization of the educational environment was promoted as a national policy, and it was aimed to use ICT for the class of all teachers. However, the number of teachers who have actually utilized ICT by the class is limited, and informationization of the education is not necessarily advanced enough. To improve such a situation, the Ministry of Education investigated the actual condition of educational informationization. In this paper, I explain the result, and describe the problem in educational informationization in the future.
