Description
I attempt to show some reason why Otto Jespersen affirematively answers the following question about language change: If the old order has thus chnaged, yielding place to new, the question naturally arises; which of these two is the better order? This issue of language change may be old but still arguable in modern times. I try to review his statement made by him in favor of a progressive change through all his great works and arrive at the conclusion that Otto Jespersen would be under the influence of agnosticism in the times.
