Morphology of Colonic Neoplasia is investigated by using computer simulation in order to obtain patterns of colony at an arbitrary time. The pattern will be useful to identify stage of cancer objectively. Here we take into account 5 important factors of nutrient, cell adhesion, polarity, contact inhibition and competition for space when we simulate the growth.

生体内における癌組織の変化は,直視することは不可能であるが,計算機を用いてその組織の形態変化を疑似的に作り上げることにより,随時,任意の時刻におけるパターン見ることが出来るはずである。ここでは,5つの因子,栄養源,細胞接着率,成長方向,分離率,空間占有率を考慮して,細胞組織を作ることにした. 細胞接着率が形態に最も強く影響することが得られた. 最終目標としては,患者から得られた標本が,どの程度進行したものであるかを判定することに応用したい.
