Description

After meat chickens were shipped, chicken droppings were removed from the floor of a windowless poultry house. The entire inside of the house was washed with 3.4 L/square m of water and disinfected by foaming disinfection with 1.1 L/square m of 1% (v/v) solution of 20% DDAC using a power spray pump. Subsequently, only the floor of the house was covered with 0.5 L/square m of 20% (w/v) slaked lime suspension. As a result, the bacterial count of the floor decreased to 0.000070% compared with that after removing chicken droppings.
