- Comparative Study on Some Functions of Education-Life Activities to the Formation of Vocational Views and Values for High School Students : Case Surveys on Time Budget of 12th Grade's Students in Japan, Germany and the South Korea

This study aims to clarify the role of some life activities of high school students upon the development of vocational views and values through comparative panel questionnaire surveys in 2009 and 2011, and some interview surveys in Japan, Korea and Germany. Especially, this paper focuses on analyses of time budget surveys by the descriptive semi-code style to some 12th grade high school students, 13 students in Japan, 14 in Korea and 5 in Germany. Number of proportion in the sex and the kind of school (general or vocational) of survey attendants are considered excluding Germany which objectifies only general (Gymanasium) students. As the results of analyses, we can point out some characteristics and findings. First, from the comparison among three countries, especially in the cases of general students, there is big difference between Japan- Korea and Germany. In Japan and Korea, students use too many hours to their learning in private home or "Juku". Contrastively, German students live so flexible and varied activities. Second, from the comparison between kinds of school type, vocational students, German general students are like to them, concentrate in free media plays, but they reach in so various kind of activities such as part-time work, volunteer activity, school extra activity etc. Thirdly, as most important issue in this study, we can confirm the cause and result relationship through the relative analysis of results of two times questionnaire and results of time budget survey in this time. Especially, the living style of Korean students seems to influence on the development of the factor "economy-stable living orientation" and on the reduction of the factor "society- service orientation" between 2009 and 2011.
