The purpose of this study was to examine the validity and the practical effect of the educational program (Field Action Seminar:FAS)developed for the improvement of the students’ abilities in interpersonal-relations. FAS consisted of two program (an intramural program and a program outside the campus), and in each program, students performed various experimental learning work on the theme of the sense of trust which is the central factor in interpersonal-relations. The effect of the programs was examined using the change in sense of trust and self-consciousness through the programs. Research 1(2002 fiscal year) revealed that a program outside the campus especially enhanced students’ sense of basic trust and sense of interpersonal trust. As a result of Research 2(2003 fiscal year), it became clear that each program made the students’ sense of interpersonal trust increase, and their self-diffusion decline. From the above result, FAS had the effect of enhancing students’ sense of trust, especially the sense of interpersonal trust, and it was suggested that this program be available as an educational tool for improvement in abilities in interpersonal-relations.
