Abstract

The fairytales by the Brothers Grimm can be changed in their diffusion due to the cultural displacement of different races. Even though the core of the stories, namely their essence, will remain unchanged as long as man is around to tell them. This is because the core of the stories has resonance with cosmic rhythm, which is the original monad, and finally God. By consideration and comparison of the fairytale by the Brothers Grimm Godfather Death (KHM44) with the Japanese classic rakugo Death I posed in this paper the following provisional 5 thesises. 1. The rakugo Death by Encho Sanyutei (1900-1979) was prodused on the base of the fairytale by the Brothers Grimm Godfather Death (KHM44). 2. It is highly supposed that it was Ouchi Fukuchi (1841-1906), that gave Encho the information of the fairytale by the Brothers Grimm Godfather Death (KHM44). 3. Ouchi Fukuchi acquired probably the 2. edition of the fairytales by the Brothers Grimm. 4. Wilhelm Grimm (1786-1859) was enchanted by the image of candle as a human life (flame= head; candle=body). 5. Death stands generally in Europe at the feet of the patient and leads him to Hades after changing him by the flaming eyes into stone, like as Medusa.
