The purpose of this study is to determine the degrees of childcare stress, its related factors, and their relationships among mothers. The subjects were 163 mothers with nursery school children. They were assessed childcare stress, coping behavior, maternal role, the child's problem behavior, and social support. Results revealed that childcare stress about chil- dren were not strong so much; however, mothers experienced stress due to their limited social activities as a result of working, and financial difficulties. In addition, the relationship between the degree of childcare stress and its related factors indicated that the extent of the relationship differed according to the factors. Further, the involvement of the child's status and the mother's ability of adjustive coping had only a little effect on childcare stress.
