The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of an instruction method for making the wiring diagram of electric circuit by analyzing student errors at the junior high school technology classes. False steps in making the wiring diagram were collected from 108 junior high school students and were analyzed qualitatively. Subsequently, students were divided into 3 groups and the effect of the instruction that was given to each group was inspected. The following were found:(1) There were almost no students who were able to make the wiring diagram of electric circuit without teacher's instruction. (2)About 70% of correct answer rate was obtained by using color-coded electricity circuit diagram and by reviewing.
