In building of the forest road, man must make efforts to reduce the volume of cut ting and abandoning soil, in order that the road building has not bad influences upon the forest. So we have researched the method of using the wicker works to make use of cutting soil for the road building. Because man can expect to reduce the volume of cutting and abandoning soil to do so. In this report, as one step of this research, we studied the relations between the volume of cutting and banking soil, the height and place of the wicker works, etc. And we made the relations into tables for convenience sake of forest road planning. Using these table, we presented two example, in one example the banking soil was utilized for the road building effectively, in another example it was not utilized. In consideration of these examples, we discussed the uses and questions of utilizing the banking soil for the road building effectively by using the wicker works.
