Abstract

Corporate Communication function has increasingly caught attention of top management of Japanese companies, especially after some incidents showing drastic differences in resulted situation from skillful conduct (or, unskillful conduct) of communication. This essay focuses on the issue of human resource management in corporate communication organization within Japanese companies. The analysis of the database constructed for this study shows that the position of Chief Communication Officer is assumed by the board member. Also, cases of executive officers assuming the responsibility of the head of CorpCom organization are not rare.
