Abstract

This experimental study attempts to explore practical ways to restructure and maintain the vitality of Central Town Areas through art or leisure activities. It employs the qualitative research approaches of participant observation, hearing investigations and analytical examinations to focus on the case of "Maebashi MARUMARUBU" of Maebashi, Gunma. The study utilizes empirical research in an attempt to provide a new theoretical perspective to research on hubs of leisure activity by reconsidering such studies within the context of City Planning.
